drawing of a draw with squiggles bursting out

In a vision of a more productive and centered life, I cleaned out my bedside drawer. Without my noticing it had slowly turned into a junk draw. It was full of miscellaneous wires and cables, an old journal with negative associations, books and articles I hadn’t picked up to read in months and other random objects. Who wants that cluttered chaos by their head in an area designated for resting? After I cleared it all out and properly sorted the contents into better homes, I filled the drawer with selected objects I use. The new contents include my current journal, two pens, a mandala pendant and five books: two spiritual books, two creativity books and one sci-fi book.

Cleaning out this draw has not been on my radar as something that needed to be done. But now that I have done it I feel so good. Cleaning is always a mood booster for me. Most often it is the kitchen and the living room that I tidy up for an energy lift. Reorganization is usually a deeper/ larger project I do in the mornings on days off. Thank you to that little spark of inspiration that spurred me to do it at midnight before bed.

A clean, organized space is key to a peaceful and clear mind. This allows creativity and productivity to flow more easily. Letting distractions clutter my space also clutters my focus. This little drawer has become a sanctuary for the ideas and goals I am working towards. I am signaling to the universe what I want and what matters to me. My focus is now decluttered. Small actions, like cleaning out this drawer, can lead to big mental shifts and energy expansions.

What do you do to boost your energy?

Is your space aiding or blocking your goals?
